This Easy Fish Taco recipe is our go to recipe for any type of fish that we catch. It is super easy to make and a solid hit with visitors. Variations: you can panko crum the fish and have a mixture of both grilled and shallow fried. This recipe isn't a TexMex style, it is full of flavours that will leave you wanting more.
FISH MARINADE
- We recommend 1 (10/15cm) fillet per taco. (This recipe is based on 4 ppl)
- A good drizzle of olive oil
- ½ tsp Salt (Kosher salt, Keltic Salt, Sea Salt or just any Salt)
- ¼ Cup Chopped Coriander
- Pinch of cumin
- Add Fresh chopped chilli or Chilli Flakes
SALSA
- 3-4 medium fresh tomatoes (stems removed)
- ½ mediumred onion (Diced)
- Juice of1 lime (more if out of season)
- 1/2cup chopped Coriander
- Kosher salt, Keltic Salt, Sea Salt or just any Salt to taste
- ½ tsp ground cumin, or more to taste
- A good drizzle of olive oil
- HEAT? 1 jalapeño pepper
Mix well all together in a bowl
YOGURT SAUCE
- 1 Cup Natural yogurt (Greek)
- ½ Sour Cream
- 1lime, juiced
- ½tsp salt (Kosher salt, Keltic Salt, Sea Salt or just any Salt)
- ¼ tsp cumin
Mix well all together in a bowl
SALAD
- ¼ White Cabbage thinly shredded
- ½ Red Onion (sliced thinly)
- ½ Cup Chopped Coriander
- Salt
Mix well all together in a bowl
GUACAMOLE
- 3 Lrg Avocados
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp cumin
- ¼ cup Chopped Coriander
- A good drizzle of olive oil
- Add ¼ cup of diced fresh tomatoes (if you like tomatoes)
- HEAT ? ½ jalapeño pepper or diced jar jalapeños
Mash avo with a fork. Mix well together in a bowl
STEPS
- Mix fish marinade in a bowl, cover, and keep cool (30 minutes)
- Prep Salsa, Yoghurt Sauce, Guacamole, Salad and set aside in a cool place
- Cook Fish Marinade in a pan at medium heat to allow a slow cook and not burn flesh
- Prepare Tacos / Wraps
- Serve with sliced lime and enjoy!
